Someone bid on a name that I let expire
« on: July 16, 2018, 09:13:22 PM »
I've had it listed for a year, and there has been no interest. I let it expire, and it has received a bid of $50. It was still in the 30 day grace period, so I've renewed it, and I'll relist it.

I think the moral here is that I need to improve my marketing. :)

It's really annoying when people renew these names in the expired dutch auctions. I get quite excited by the prospect of picking up a great name at a good price, only to see it reclaimed in the last few days of the grace period. I guess that registrants use the expired lists to check for possible interest in a name that hasn't sold. I makes for a difficult decision - you have to decide if you want to wait until the very last minute to bid to avoid the name being renewed, or if you should bid as soon as the name hits your target price to avoid somebody else grabbing it.
