Crypto in Venezuela
« on: December 28, 2018, 08:00:33 PM »
Over here in England, we only seem to get garbled reports about the economic situation in Venezuela, and I would like to read some reports from people living there. My understanding about crypto use there is very limited. The following is being reported

Maduro is trying to force people to use El Petro by insisting that taxes are paid with it. There seems to be a lot of resistance to this though.

Dash is being mined and used by many residents to pay for daily transactions.

Bitcoin was being mined, but the government has been cracking down on this, and confiscating mining rigs.

Can anyone update me on the current situation please?
